Change, it’s inevitable. Some aspects of life change no matter what, it’s the way it is, part of our journey. We often struggle to accept change, or different phases of life. Physically, who doesn’t want the elixir of youth again, especially now with the experience you’ve gained!
We do our "maintenance" and fight the tide of time, but like wrinkles, and the greying of hair that we inevitably develop, changes happen. We view them as part of a normal process. The kiss of time.
It helps us understand the need to look after the system that supports and nourishes the areas of change. The movement system. Ensuring our bodies are at the best they can be for where we are.
A message that we share Team HOi is that movement is about you using your awareness and thoughtfulness to operate your musculoskeletal system (your muscles working via tendons, fascia, ligaments and more) to lift and support you. Using movement for health.
While the body is changing as we go through life, we think about using the “active system” to keep that dynamic lift and support for function. Creating space for joints that ultimately always love to move. Even with a few wrinkles!
